Returns & Refund Policy

At Flat Metal Signs™, your satisfaction is our top priority. We stand behind the quality of our work and want you to feel confident in every purchase.


Standard Returns

  • Returns are accepted within 20 days of delivery on non-custom, standard items.
  • Items must be unused and in their original condition.
  • Contact us first, and we’ll provide instructions for returning your sign.

Customized Signs

  • Because most of our metal signs are made-to-order and personalized, custom signs are non-refundable.
  • If our design team makes a mistake on your order, we’ll correct it by sending you the proper version at no additional cost.

Damaged Orders

  • If your sign arrives damaged during shipment, contact us within 10 days of delivery.
  • Please include a photo of the damage so we can review and approve your replacement or exchange quickly.
  • Once approved, we’ll ship your replacement at no cost to you.

Refunds

  • If a refund is approved, we’ll email you with instructions.
  • Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within a few business days (processing times vary by bank/credit card company).
  • If you don’t see your refund after receiving our confirmation, check with your bank or credit card provider first. If it still hasn’t appeared, contact us at contact@flatmetalsigns.com.

Sale Items

  • Refunds apply to both sale items and regular-priced items. You’ll be refunded the exact amount you paid.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are only offered if your sign arrives defective or damaged.
  • To request an exchange, email us at contact@flatmetalsigns.com with details and photos, and we’ll guide you through the next steps.

Gifts

  • If your order was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return.
  • If it wasn’t marked as a gift, or it was sent to the gift giver first, the refund will be issued directly to the gift giver.

Shipping a Return

  • Do not ship any sign back without our approval. Always contact us first.
  • Please keep the original box for return shipping.
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, but we cover the shipping cost of your replacement sign.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If you’re returning a higher-value item, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing insurance, as we can’t guarantee receipt of returned packages.
